We strongly recommend that you make an appointment, but you have the opportunity to ask a question in chat, or request a short audio / video session when a tutor is on call.
Audio and video calls made in a drop-in session are usually only 20 minutes long. What enough time there is that students or concerns are treated efficiently and easily. Remember that you only return comments with a tutor in chat, but the release of documents in the chat area are prohibited if you want you to see a specific part of a paper, you must perform a video or audio call . If you do not want anyone, you must display the comments or conversation you had, you must delete the comment on your own.

Asynchronous tutoring is when a student receives by e-mail feedback. This is for someone who feels uncomfortable, has an audio / video call, has a technology career, is not available to fulfill synchronously, or prefer to make feedback on oral feedback. However, if you have access to your e-mail , you need to check your e-mail to make sure you have received your comments and feedback. You may not want to select this option if you have already received a written feedback from your teacher or other tutor or have real-time questions that you want to ask the tutor during your session.
Synchronous tutilation is when a student has a virtual meeting over MS teams. This is for someone who is more comfortable, questions and concerns that have a tutor during a real-time audio / video chat. Tutors use the screen part to exceed your writing project with you. Although we do not need to turn on your camera during a session, it is still important that you have the internet service, a computer with audio and video functions and headphones.
Synchronous sessions are typically 45 minutes, which gives the students and tutors enough time to discuss assignment guidelines, to build rapport and discuss the writing project via an interactive session (screen and audio / video chat). It also makes time for technical mixtures that can be done in a virtual environment.
